What is Red Bull X-Fighters?
Since it was first held in 2001 at the bullring in Valencia, Spain, it has become more popular every year, and in 2007 it expanded into a world tour. It has been held in famous cities such as London, Madrid, Rome, Sydney, and Rio de Janeiro, and in 2010 it was held in front of world heritage sites such as the Sphinx of Giza and Red Square in Moscow. The world's top FMX riders who participate use numerous kickers set up on a special course to dynamically fly through the air and perform as many tricks as possible within the time limit. The series of tricks are judged on five criteria: "variation," "difficulty," "style," "use of the course," and "energy." The rider who achieves the majority of the criteria wins, and it is a one-on-one tournament. In recent years, the tricks that the riders use have become more diverse, including double back flips, front flips, and tricks where they let go of the bike and spin in the air, making the competition even more exciting.
